Anna Unkovich Scholarship
The Cuesta College Central Coast Writers Conference is proud to present our 33rd annual conference located on San Luis Obispo Campus on September 28-30, 2017. We recognized the need for those recovering or battling an illness to write and leave a heirloom. Anna Unkovich ran our volunteer program for over 10 years and her legacy lives on so that underserved citizens have a chance to attend the conference and learn valuable writing skills that heal so much. Therefore, we established the Anna Unkovich Scholarship for 2 attendees that would not be able to attend without the financial help of this fund. These include all facets of the conference expect those located off of the Cuesta College campus.
The 33rd Annual Central Coast Writers Conference is an essential annual destination for writers, teachers, students, editors, and publishers. Each year writers join our community for two days of insightful dialogue, networking, and unrivaled access to our staff. 2017 conference features over 40 presenters offering screenwriting, workshops, panels, critiques, keynotes, and craft lectures. We will have literary agents, editors and publishers teaching and at your disposal.
Eligibility: Anyone suffering from or recovering from an illness. Stories will be judged on need and the writer’s authentic voice. Applications should be emailed to Gabriela Rangel. Final deadline is 9/20/2017.
